Black Shark GS3 Ultra Rugged Smartwatch Boasts IP69K Rating, Dual-Band GPS, and 18-Day Battery Life

Black Shark launched the GS3 rugged smartwatch over a year ago and has now introduced its enhanced Ultra variant.

The Black Shark GS3 Ultra features a reinforced metal frame, four mechanical-style buttons, and a 1.43-inch circular AMOLED display with a 466x466 pixel resolution and 1,000 nits brightness. The screen is protected by 9H Gorilla Glass, supports 16.7 million colors, and offers 270 customizable watch faces.

As a rugged smartwatch, the GS3 Ultra holds MIL-STD-810 certification, is rated 5ATM for water resistance, and is certified with an IP69K protection rating for extreme durability.

For fitness tracking, the GS3 Ultra supports over 160 sports modes and can automatically detect activities such as walking, running, elliptical training, and rowing.

Health monitoring features include continuous heart rate tracking, stress measurement, blood oxygen level monitoring, and comprehensive sleep analysis covering Deep Sleep, Light Sleep, REM, and Awake phases. The device also tracks daytime naps.

Navigation capabilities are enhanced by dual-band (L1+L5) GPS, alongside support for BeiDou, GLONASS, NavIC, and Galileo satellite systems. The GS3 Ultra also features ENC technology to facilitate call answering. Black Shark highlights its high-density batteries—capacity undisclosed—providing up to 18 days of use on a single charge and up to 45 days in ultra-long standby mode.

The smartwatch will be available in silver and black colors, though pricing and release dates have not yet been announced.
