Poco introduced two new tablets today, with the Poco Pad X1 positioned as the premium option. This tablet can be seen as an affordable alternative to the iPad Pro 11 or, more accurately, as a rebranded Xiaomi Pad 7.
Despite its modest price, the Poco Pad X1 delivers impressive performance. It is available in a single 8GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration priced at $399. The box includes a USB-C to USB-A cable and a 45W charger.

One of the tablet's main value points lies in its accessory ecosystem, thanks to its Xiaomi Pad 7 base. Poco offers a $99 Focus Pen and a smart cover that magnetically attaches to the tablet. The cover features origami-style folds, enabling it to convert into a kickstand for versatile usage.

For an additional $199—half the tablet’s price—you can purchase the Floating Keyboard. It includes a full key set and a clickable trackpad, holding the tablet at a 120-degree angle to mimic a laptop experience.

Although the keyboard's compact size leads to somewhat cramped QWERTY keys and a less-than-ideal trackpad shape, regular use quickly improves comfort for typing. Additionally, a USB 3.2 Gen 1 port supports data transfer and external drives, enhancing productivity options.

The tablet itself feels premium for its price. It features an 11.2-inch IPS LCD display with a sharp 3200 x 2136 resolution and a smooth 144Hz refresh rate. The quad-speaker setup delivers immersive audio, making it well-suited for multimedia consumption.
Inside, a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM ensures smooth and responsive performance, whether navigating the interface or browsing with multiple Chrome tabs open.
The Poco Pad X1 is equipped with an 8,850mAh battery, which Poco claims can provide over 11 hours of continuous video streaming. For an in-depth performance review, see our detailed analysis of the Xiaomi Pad 7, on which this model is based.
