Tesla Introduces 30-Day Free Trial of FSD (Supervised) V14 for North American Owners

Source: Date:

Tesla has launched a 30-day free trial of Full Self-Driving (FSD) Supervised version 14 for North American owners. This offer targets approximately 1.5 million Tesla owners with vehicles equipped with Hardware 4 (HW4) who have not yet purchased the FSD package.

While Tesla brands the technology as "Full Self-Driving," it remains supervised, meaning the driver must remain attentive and ready to take control at all times. The company has added the term "Supervised" to clarify this distinction. Eligible owners will receive notifications via email and the Tesla app informing them about the trial availability.

To qualify for the trial, owners must have a Model S, Model 3, Model X, Model Y, or Cybertruck registered in the United States, Puerto Rico, Mexico, or Canada. Additionally, vehicles must be running Tesla software version 14.2 or later, which will be delivered via over-the-air update. Tesla recommends keeping vehicles connected to Wi-Fi to receive the update promptly.

The trial begins automatically once software version 14.2 is installed and lasts 30 days. It cannot be deferred or postponed. Tesla also reserves the right to end the trial earlier than planned.
