The Xiaomi 17 Ultra is rumored to launch earlier than expected, potentially in late December. This flagship device promises significant camera enhancements, with new details about its imaging hardware recently leaked online.
Leaked renders of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra photography kit indicate a triple rear camera setup. Although this appears to be a reduction compared to the Xiaomi 15 Ultra’s quad-camera system, the change may not represent a downgrade.

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra featured dual telephoto lenses. According to leaks, the 17 Ultra may drop the 50MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, instead opting for an overall improved telephoto sensor.

The upcoming flagship is expected to include a 50MP OVX10500U sensor, a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL S5KHPE telephoto camera, and a 50MP OV50M or 50MP S5KJN5 ultrawide sensor. The front camera may also utilize a 50MP OV50M sensor for high-quality selfies.
