Poco today revealed two new tablets, with the Poco Pad X1 positioned as the premium offering. Essentially, this device serves as an affordable alternative to the iPad Pro 11. It is, in fact, a rebranded Xiaomi Pad 7, delivering excellent value for its price.
The Poco Pad X1 impresses well beyond its cost. It is available in a single 8GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration, priced at $399. Included in the box are a USB-C to USB-A cable and a 45W charger.

One of the tablet’s key advantages comes from its shared platform with the Xiaomi Pad 7, enabling a range of accessories. Poco offers a $99 Focus Pen and a smart cover that attaches magnetically and folds origami-style into a kickstand.

For an additional $199—half the tablet’s price—you can purchase the Floating Keyboard. This accessory features a full keyboard with a clickable trackpad and positions the tablet at a 120-degree angle, simulating a laptop experience.

While the keyboard’s compact size makes the QWERTY layout feel slightly cramped and the trackpad shape less than ideal, extended use improves comfort significantly. The keyboard also includes a USB 3.2 Gen 1 port for data transfer and external storage connectivity, enhancing productivity possibilities.

The Poco Pad X1 offers an impressive build quality and a premium feel that surpasses expectations for its price bracket. It sports an 11.2-inch 3200x2136 pixel 144Hz IPS LCD display with excellent image clarity. Multimedia is further enhanced by a quad-speaker system.
Under the hood, the device is powered by a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM, delivering smooth performance across applications and seamless multitasking in Chrome.
Battery life is robust, with an 8,850mAh cell rated for over 11 hours of continuous video streaming. For more detailed performance insights, check out our comprehensive review of the Xiaomi Pad 7, which shares the same core hardware.
