Source: Date:

We recently unboxed Poco's latest tablet, the Poco Pad M1. Essentially a rebranded Redmi Pad 2 Pro, which we reviewed last month, it arrives with the same set of accessories included in the box.

The package contains a USB-A to USB-C cable, a 33W charger, and the tablet itself. While Xiaomi lists the Poco Pad M1 at $329, an Early Bird offer brings the price down to $279.

The Poco Pad M1 sports an uncharacteristic yet striking blue finish, a subtle shade that truly shines under direct light, distinguishing it from the typical Poco design palette.

Under the hood, the tablet features a 12.1-inch IPS LCD display with a 1600x2560 resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, delivering up to 600 nits of brightness. It is powered by a 4nm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM. The device houses a substantial 12,000mAh battery, which Poco claims can last up to 83 days on standby. The battery supports 33W charging and can also charge other devices at 27W.

In terms of accessories, the Poco Pad M1 offers compatibility similar to its more premium relative, the Poco Pad X1.

The included Cover case lacks the origami folding mechanism found on the X1’s Cover but remains functional and protective.

The Keyboard case also shares some limitations compared to the X1’s version. The tablet clips into place rather than attaching magnetically, and it does not feature a trackpad.

Nevertheless, typing on this keyboard is comfortable, with impressive key travel that pleasantly surprised us. Although it is not a floating design, the tablet seats securely within the keyboard case. Combined with a USB-C port that supports data transfer and external storage, the Poco Pad M1 is a capable option for light online work and could serve as a laptop or Chromebook alternative.
