Poco has officially launched the F8 Ultra and F8 Pro smartphones during an event held in Bali, Indonesia. Both models pack flagship-grade specifications, including innovative Sound by Bose technology to deliver a premium audio experience.
Poco F8 Ultra
The Poco F8 Ultra is powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, paired with the VisionBoost D8 chipset. It incorporates a 6,700 mm2 vapor chamber to enhance cooling efficiency.
The device features a large 6.9-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution, peak brightness of 3,500 nits, and a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. The screen is complemented by slim bezels and includes an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor.
On the rear, the phone houses a triple camera system consisting of a 50MP Light Fusion 950 primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) and a large 1/1.31-inch sensor size. It also offers a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom and a 50MP ultrawide sensor. For selfies, there is a 32MP front-facing camera.
Audio is enhanced with a rear-mounted woofer paired with dual speakers, creating a 2.1 channel setup. Bose has collaborated with Poco to fine-tune the sound quality on the F8 series.
The F8 Ultra is equipped with a 6,500mAh battery supporting 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. It runs on the Android 16-based HyperOS 3, featuring AI enhancements and Google Gemini integration. Poco promises four years of major updates and six years of security patches.
The phone boasts an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, a metal frame, and eSIM support. It will be available in Denim Blue and Black color options.
Poco F8 Pro
The Poco F8 Pro is powered by the slightly older Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and includes Poco’s 3D triple-layer IceLoop cooling system to maintain thermal efficiency.
It features a 6.59-inch AMOLED LTPS display with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone sports a metal frame and a matte glass rear panel.
The F8 Pro’s triple rear cameras include a 50MP Light Fusion 800 primary sensor with OIS, a 50MP telephoto lens supporting 2.5x optical zoom, and an 8MP ultrawide sensor. The front-facing camera has a 20MP sensor.
Battery capacity stands at 6,210mAh with support for 100W fast charging. Additional features include an IP68 rating, Bose-enhanced audio, an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, and eSIM functionality. It ships with Android 16-based HyperOS 3 and receives the same update and security support as the Ultra variant.
The Poco F8 Pro will be available for online pre-order in Black, Blue, and Titanium Silver colors. Early bird pricing starts at €469/$529 for the 12GB/256GB model and €499/$579/£449 for the 12GB/512GB variant. After the promotion, prices will increase to €650/$579 and €700/$629/£599, respectively.
The Poco F8 Ultra is available in Black, White, and Denim Blue. Early bird prices are set at €649/$679/£549 for the 12GB/256GB version and €699/$729/£599 for the 16GB/512GB variant. MSRP is €830/$729/£749 and €900/$799/£800 after the promotion ends.
