The Xiaomi 17 Ultra is rumored to launch ahead of schedule, with leaks indicating a possible unveiling by late December. The flagship device is expected to bring significant camera enhancements, and new details about its imaging sensors have recently emerged online.
Leaked images of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra photography kit reveal a triple rear-camera configuration. While this appears to be a reduction compared to the Xiaomi 15 Ultra’s quad-camera setup, the change is not necessarily a downgrade.

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra featured dual telephoto lenses. According to the leak, Xiaomi may remove the 50MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom but introduce an upgraded telephoto sensor overall.

The upcoming flagship is expected to sport a 50MP OVX10500U primary sensor, a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL S5KHPE telephoto camera, and a 50MP OV50M or S5KJN5 ultrawide sensor. For selfies, the phone could be equipped with a 50MP OV50M sensor.
