Source: Date:

We recently unboxed Poco's latest tablet, the Poco Pad M1. Essentially a rebadged Redmi Pad 2 Pro, which we reviewed last month, it includes the same accessories within the box.

The package contains a USB-A to USB-C cable, a 33W charger, and the tablet itself. Priced at $329, Xiaomi currently offers an Early Bird discount, bringing the cost down to $279.

The Poco Pad M1 is available in an unusual yet striking blue color, a subtle shade that shines beautifully under direct light, setting it apart from typical Poco devices.

The tablet features a 12.1-inch 1600x2560-pixel IPS LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 600 nits of brightness. Powered by a 4nm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset and equipped with 8GB of RAM, it packs a substantial 12,000mAh battery. Poco claims the battery can last up to 83 days on standby. The device supports 33W fast charging and can reverse-charge other devices at 27W.

The Poco Pad M1 supports a range of accessories similar to its higher-end sibling, the Poco Pad X1.

The included Cover case may lack the innovative origami folding design found on the X1’s Cover but remains fully functional and protective.

Similarly, the Keyboard case is simpler compared to the X1’s version. The tablet clips into place rather than attaching magnetically and does not feature a trackpad.

Nonetheless, the keyboard offers a surprisingly comfortable typing experience with good key travel. Although it’s not a floating design, the tablet sits securely.

Combined with a USB-C port that supports both data and external storage, the Poco Pad M1 is well-suited for light online work, potentially serving as a laptop or Chromebook replacement.
