Poco recently announced two new tablets, with the Poco Pad X1 positioned as the premium model. It can be viewed as an affordable alternative to the iPad Pro 11 or, more accurately, a rebadged Xiaomi Pad 7.
The tablet impresses well beyond its price point, available in a single 8GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration priced at $399. Included in the box are a USB-C to USB-A cable and a 45W charger.

One of the tablet’s key value propositions is its compatibility with accessories from the Xiaomi Pad 7 ecosystem. Poco offers a $99 Focus Pen and a smart cover that magnetically attaches to the tablet. The cover features origami-style folds that convert into a kickstand.

For an additional $199—approximately half the cost of the tablet—you can purchase the Floating Keyboard. This accessory offers a full keyboard with a clickable trackpad and holds the tablet at a 120-degree angle, creating a laptop-like setup.

While the keyboard’s compact size results in slightly cramped keys and a less-than-ideal trackpad shape, users generally find it comfortable for typing after some use. Additionally, the keyboard provides a USB 3.2 Gen 1 port for data transfer and external storage, enhancing the tablet’s productivity potential.

The Poco Pad X1 offers an experience that exceeds expectations for its price. It features an 11.2-inch 3200x2136 pixel 144Hz IPS LCD, delivering sharp and vivid visuals. Multimedia experiences are enhanced by a quad-speaker setup.
Under the hood, the tablet is powered by a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 processor paired with 8GB of RAM. Navigation through the interface and multitasking, including switching between Chrome tabs, feel smooth and responsive.
The large 8,850mAh battery is rated to provide over 11 hours of continuous video streaming. For a deeper look at performance, you can refer to our detailed review of the Xiaomi Pad 7.
