Qualcomm announced the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 flagship SoC in September, followed recently by a non-Elite version. The OnePlus 15R, set to launch on December 17, will be the first international smartphone to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. Qualcomm has confirmed that Motorola will soon reveal a device powered by this chip, though the Lenovo-owned brand has yet to make an official announcement.

Reliable leaker Evan Blass has disclosed that Motorola's upcoming smartphone, codenamed "Urus," will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC. According to Blass, Urus is a non-foldable flagship, expected to be marketed as the Edge 70 Ultra. Meanwhile, Motorola’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5-powered model might be the Razr 70 Ultra.
