The Xiaomi 17 Ultra is rumored to launch earlier than expected, with leaks indicating a potential release by late December. This flagship device is anticipated to feature significant camera improvements, with new details about its imaging hardware recently emerging online.
Leaked images of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra photography kit reveal a triple rear-camera configuration. Although this appears to be a reduction from the Xiaomi 15 Ultra’s quad-camera system, the change may not represent a downgrade.
The previous 15 Ultra model featured dual telephoto lenses. According to the leak, Xiaomi might remove the 50MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom in favor of an overall enhanced telephoto sensor.
The Xiaomi 17 Ultra is expected to include a 50MP OVX10500U main sensor, a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL S5KHPE telephoto camera, and a 50MP OV50M or S5KJN5 ultrawide sensor. For selfies, the device may utilize a 50MP OV50M sensor.
