To replace the battery, you first need to heat the back glass. This allows the phone to open like a book. By then removing a few additional screws, the back panel can be fully detached.

Apple’s repair costs are steep: a replacement back glass panel costs $159, while a new battery is priced at $99. However, returning your old battery reduces the price to $51. Screen replacement will set you back $329. Other component repairs include $199 for the front-facing camera and Face ID sensor, $169 for the dual rear cameras, $67 for the earpiece and 5G mmWave antenna, and $67.08 for the Taptic Engine.
