Honor Magic8 Pro Launches Globally with Malaysia Debut, Featuring Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 and Advanced Cameras

Originally launched in China in mid-October, the Honor Magic8 Pro has now officially debuted in Malaysia, marking its first global release outside China. The device is also expected to arrive in Europe soon. Notably, the standard Magic8 model is not part of this international rollout.

The Magic8 Pro is available for pre-order in Malaysia at MYR 4,599 ($1,113) for the 12GB RAM and 512GB storage variant, and MYR 5,199 ($1,258) for the 16GB RAM and 1TB storage option. The pre-order period runs until December 4.

Customers who pre-order will receive several benefits, including a complimentary Insta360 Ace Pro action camera, one year of front and back screen crack protection, an extended one-year warranty, one year of liquid damage protection, three months of Google AI Pro access, and an instant rebate of MYR 300 ($72) upon full payment.

The Honor Magic8 Pro features a 6.71-inch LTPO OLED display with a resolution of 1256x2808 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, 4,320Hz PWM dimming, and peak brightness of 6,000 nits. Powering the device is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Elite chipset. It sports a versatile triple rear camera setup: a 50MP main sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 200MP periscope telephoto lens offering 3.7x optical zoom with OIS, and a 50MP ultrawide camera with autofocus. On the front, there is a 50MP selfie camera. The phone is equipped with a large 7,100 mAh battery, supporting 100W wired and 80W wireless charging. It runs on Android 16 with Honor's MagicOS 10 overlay.
