The Xiaomi 17 Ultra is rumored to launch ahead of schedule, with reports suggesting a release by late December. This flagship device is anticipated to feature significant camera enhancements, with new details about its imaging sensors recently emerging online.
Leaked renders of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra Photography kit indicate that the phone will sport a triple rear-camera configuration. Although this represents a shift from the Xiaomi 15 Ultra’s quad-camera setup, it may not be a downgrade.

While the Xiaomi 15 Ultra featured dual telephoto cameras, the leak suggests that Xiaomi may remove the 50MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom in favor of an enhanced telephoto sensor overall.

The upcoming flagship is expected to include a 50MP OVX10500U sensor, a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL S5KHPE telephoto camera, and a 50MP OV50M or S5KJN5 ultrawide camera. For selfies, the device could feature a 50MP OV50M sensor.
