Several teardowns of the iPhone Air and iPhone 17 Pro have already surfaced, and now Zack from JerryRigEverything provides an in-depth teardown of the standard iPhone 17. The video also highlights Apple’s official repair part prices for this model.
Opening the iPhone 17 starts with removing the two pentalobe screws at the bottom, which Apple prices at just $0.18 each.

For those replacing the battery, the next step involves heating the back glass to carefully open the phone like a book. Removing a few additional screws then frees the back panel completely.

Apple’s repair pricing is notably steep: a replacement back glass costs $159; a new battery runs $99, or $51 if you return your old one. Screen replacements are $329. Other component prices include $199 for the front camera and Face ID sensor, $169 for the dual rear cameras, $67 for the earpiece and 5G mmWave antenna, and $67.08 for the Taptic Engine.
