We recently unboxed Poco's latest tablet, the Poco Pad M1. Essentially a rebranded Redmi Pad 2 Pro, which we reviewed last month, it includes the same accessories in the box.
The package contains a USB-A to USB-C cable, a 33W charger, and the tablet itself. Xiaomi lists the Poco Pad M1 at $329, though an Early Bird discount currently drops the price to $279.

The Poco Pad M1 stands out with its striking blue finish—an uncommon choice for Poco devices. This subtle shade of blue really shines under direct light, giving the tablet a premium look.
In terms of specifications, the tablet features a 12.1-inch IPS LCD display with a 1600x2560 resolution, a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, and 600 nits of brightness. Powered by a 4nm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM, it offers solid performance. The 12,000mAh battery supports up to 83 days on standby, charges at 33W, and can even reverse-charge other devices at 27W.

When it comes to accessories, the Poco Pad M1 is compatible with a range of add-ons similar to those for its premium sibling, the Poco Pad X1.

The included Cover case is straightforward. It lacks the clever origami folding design found on the X1's cover but still provides reliable protection.

The Keyboard case continues this streamlined theme. Unlike the X1’s keyboard case, the tablet clips in rather than attaching magnetically, and it does not include a trackpad.

Despite these omissions, the keyboard offers a surprisingly comfortable typing experience with impressive key travel. Although it’s not a floating design, the tablet sits very securely in place. Combined with the USB-C port supporting data transfer and external storage, the Poco Pad M1 is a viable option for light online work, potentially replacing a laptop or Chromebook.
