Poco introduced two new tablets today, with the Poco Pad X1 positioned as the more premium model. It can be seen as an affordable alternative to the iPad Pro 11, or, more accurately, a rebranded Xiaomi Pad 7.
This tablet offers impressive capabilities for its price. It comes in a single 8GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration, priced at $399. Included in the box are a USB-C to USB-A cable and a 45W charger.

One of the tablet’s key selling points is its compatibility with several accessories originally designed for the Xiaomi Pad 7. Poco markets a $99 Focus Pen and a smart cover, which attaches magnetically and can be folded origami-style to serve as a kickstand.

For an additional $199—about half the price of the tablet—you can purchase the Floating Keyboard. This accessory features a full QWERTY keyboard and a clickable trackpad, allowing the tablet to be positioned at a 120-degree angle for a laptop-like user experience.

While the keyboard’s compact size means the keys are somewhat cramped and the trackpad shape is not ideal, users typically adjust quickly. Additionally, the tablet includes a USB 3.2 Gen 1 port, supporting data transfer and external storage, enhancing its productivity potential.

The Poco Pad X1 feels more premium than its price suggests. Its 11.2-inch 3200x2136 resolution IPS LCD display supports a 144Hz refresh rate, delivering sharp and fluid visuals. A quad-speaker setup complements the multimedia experience, producing rich sound quality.
Under the hood, it is powered by a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 SoC paired with 8GB of RAM, providing a smooth, lag-free user interface and seamless multitasking, including web browsing across multiple Chrome tabs.
The tablet houses an 8,850mAh battery, which Poco claims can last over 11 hours of continuous video streaming. For a deeper understanding of its performance, you may refer to our detailed review of the Xiaomi Pad 7, as the devices share many similarities.
