The iPhone Air has experienced disappointing sales, which appears to have discouraged several Chinese manufacturers from pursuing ultra-slim smartphones. According to a recent DigiTimes report, companies such as Xiaomi, Oppo, and Vivo have reportedly canceled their plans to launch sleek, lightweight devices aimed at competing with the iPhone Air.
The report also highlights that Apple’s key supplier Foxconn has scaled back production lines for the iPhone, while Luxshare has completely halted its iPhone manufacturing. Recently, the designer behind the Air model has left the company, and Apple has reportedly delayed the launch of its successor.
