Huawei has officially launched the Mate 80 series in China, introducing the Mate 80, Mate 80 Pro, Mate 80 Pro Max, and Mate 80 RS Ultimate Design models. The Pro Max and RS variants stand out with dual telephoto cameras and powerful 6,000mAh batteries.
Huawei Mate 80 Pro Max

The Mate 80 Pro Max closely resembles the Mate 80 Pro but offers a larger 6.9-inch dual-layer OLED LTPO display with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness up to 8,000 nits. It is powered by the Kirin 9030 Pro chipset paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. The device runs on HarmonyOS 6, featuring various UI enhancements and AI capabilities.

The rear sports a quad-camera setup: a 50MP primary sensor with variable aperture and OIS, a 40MP ultrawide lens, a 50MP macro telephoto camera with f/2.1 aperture and OIS, and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens featuring 6.2x optical zoom and OIS. Huawei’s second-generation Red Maple imaging chipset enhances photo processing.
The front houses a 13MP selfie camera with 3D depth sensing technology.

The phone is equipped with a 6,000mAh battery supporting 100W wired and 80W wireless charging.
Additional features include IP68 and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance, dual-band Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 6.0, satellite communication support, NFC, a USB-C 3.1 Gen 1 port, stereo speakers, and an infrared sensor.

The Mate 80 Pro Max is available in Aurora Blue, Polar Day Gold, Polar Region Silver, and Polar Night Black. It measures 8.25mm in thickness and weighs 239g.
Huawei Mate 80 RS Ultimate Design

The Mate 80 RS Ultimate Design features a distinctive rear camera module and rear panel styling but shares most specifications with the Mate 80 Pro Max.
This model runs the same Kirin 9030 Pro chipset and sport the same display, camera array, battery, and connectivity options. Its key difference is a hefty 20GB of RAM as standard.

Built with a titanium mid-frame and protected by 3rd generation basalt tempered Kunlun glass, the RS model measures 8.25mm thick and weighs 249g.
Color options include Hibiscus Purple, Jet Black, and Pure White.

The Mate 80 Pro Max pricing starts at CNY 7,999 ($1,125) for the 16GB/512GB variant and goes up to CNY 8,999 ($1,265) for 16GB/1TB configurations. The Mate 80 RS Ultimate Design costs CNY 11,999 ($1,690) for 20GB/512GB storage and CNY 12,999 ($1,830) for 20GB/1TB.
