Huawei has officially unveiled the Mate 80 series in China, expanding the lineup with the introduction of the Mate 80 Pro Max and the Mate 80 RS Ultimate Design alongside the Mate 80 and Mate 80 Pro models. Notably, both new models feature dual telephoto cameras and 6,000mAh batteries.
Huawei Mate 80 Pro Max

The Mate 80 Pro Max shares a similar design with the Mate 80 Pro but stands out with a larger 6.9-inch dual-layer OLED LTPO display offering a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness up to 8,000 nits.
Powered by the Kirin 9030 Pro chipset, the device comes with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, running Huawei's HarmonyOS 6, which introduces several UI improvements and advanced AI features.

Its rear quad-camera system includes a 50MP primary sensor with variable aperture and optical image stabilization (OIS), a 40MP ultrawide camera, a 50MP macro telephoto lens with f/2.1 aperture and OIS, plus a 50MP periscope telephoto lens offering 6.2x optical zoom and OIS. These cameras are supported by Huawei’s second-generation Red Maple imaging chipset.
For selfies, the phone features a 13MP front camera enhanced with 3D depth sensing technology.

The Mate 80 Pro Max is equipped with a 6,000mAh battery supporting 100W wired and 80W wireless fast charging.
Additional specifications include IP68 and IP69 water and dust resistance, dual-band Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 6.0, satellite communication support, NFC, a USB-C 3.1 Gen 1 port, stereo speakers, and an infrared sensor.

The device comes in Aurora Blue, Polar Day Gold, Polar Region Silver, and Polar Night Black finishes. It measures 8.25mm in thickness and weighs 239 grams.
Huawei Mate 80 RS Ultimate Design

The Mate 80 RS Ultimate Design offers a distinctive aesthetic with a redesigned rear camera module and back panel but shares most of the hardware specifications with the Pro Max model.
It features the same Kirin 9030 Pro chipset, display, camera system, battery, and connectivity options but comes standard with a hefty 20GB of RAM.

The device sports a titanium mid-frame and utilizes 3rd-generation basalt tempered Kunlun glass for enhanced durability. It maintains an 8.25mm thickness but weighs slightly more at 249 grams.
Available colors include Hibiscus Purple, Jet Black, and Pure White.

The Huawei Mate 80 Pro Max is priced at CNY 7,999 (approximately $1,125) for the 16GB/512GB variant, while the 16GB/1TB model costs CNY 8,999 (around $1,265).
The Mate 80 RS Ultimate Design starts at CNY 11,999 ($1,690) for the 20GB/512GB version and goes up to CNY 12,999 ($1,830) for the 20GB/1TB option.
