Honor Watch X5 Unveiled with 1.97-Inch AMOLED Display and 14-Day Battery Life

The Honor Watch X5 was officially launched in China alongside the Honor 500 series. This new smartwatch features a large 1.97-inch AMOLED display, built-in GPS, and supports over 120 sport modes.

It offers a vivid 1.97-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 390 x 450 pixels, protected by 2.5D curved glass and a smooth 60Hz refresh rate. Weighing just 29 grams without the strap, the watch carries an IP68 and 5ATM water resistance rating.

The watch case is crafted from aluminum alloy, while the back is plastic. Navigation is facilitated by a single button combined with a rotating crown.

Equipped with various sensors, including a PPG heart rate sensor, the Watch X5 supports comprehensive health tracking such as sleep monitoring, women’s health features, and sports activity tracking across 120 modes. It also includes built-in GPS for precise location tracking.

For connectivity, the device provides Bluetooth 5.3 and NFC support. Charging is managed via a magnetic port. Additional features include an Always-On Display (AOD), Bluetooth calling, remote camera shutter control, and a Do Not Disturb mode.

Battery life is rated up to 14 days under typical usage and up to 5 days with AOD enabled. The smartwatch also incorporates a microphone and speaker for enhanced functionality.

The Honor Watch X5 is compatible with Android devices running version 9.0 or higher and iOS devices on version 13 or later. It is offered with Black or White silicone straps.

Priced at CNY 499 (approximately $70), the Honor Watch X5 is currently available through Honor’s official online store in China.
