Lava has officially unveiled the Agni 4 smartphone in India, introducing a powerful MediaTek Dimensity 8350 chipset alongside a vibrant 120Hz AMOLED screen. This new device combines robust performance, advanced cooling, and smart AI capabilities into a sleek metal frame, aiming to offer a premium experience at an affordable price point.
Under the hood, the Lava Agni 4 is equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 SoC, supported by up to 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage. To ensure sustained performance, the phone features a vapor chamber cooling system that efficiently manages heat during intensive usage.
The device sports a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and a 1.5K resolution, delivering crisp visuals with up to 2,400 nits of peak brightness. Security is enhanced with an in-display fingerprint sensor, blending convenience with cutting-edge technology.
Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the dual rear camera setup, including a 50MP primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) and an 8MP ultrawide lens. On the front, a 50MP selfie camera ensures detailed self-portraits and video calls. Impressively, all three cameras support 4K video recording at 60 frames per second.
Powering the device is a 5,000mAh battery complemented by 66W wired fast charging to keep the phone ready for extensive daily use. The Agni 4 runs on Android 15 out of the box, with Lava promising three years of operating system updates and four years of security patches.
A notable highlight is Lava’s new AI assistant called Vayu AI, designed as a 'system level AI’ featuring emotional awareness to enhance user interaction. The phone also integrates Google’s Circle to Search functionality and various AI-driven features for a smarter user experience.
The Lava Agni 4 is also packed with modern connectivity and durability options, including an IP64 rating, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, stereo speakers, an infrared sensor, and dual-SIM support.
Available in refined Lunar Mist and Phantom Black shades, the Lava Agni 4 comes in a single 8GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration. Priced competitively at INR 24,999 (approximately $280), the smartphone will be available for purchase in India starting November 25.
