Rumors surrounding the Honor Magic8 Mini have been circulating since May, with some early specifications leaking last month. Today, the well-known source Digital Chat Station on Weibo shares fresh insights about this compact flagship, revealing key details about its battery, display, and camera setup.
Despite initial speculation of a 6,000 mAh battery, Honor has reportedly settled on a 5,500 mAh cell. This adjustment aligns with the company's ambitious goal to keep the phone's thickness under 7mm, possibly even pushing beneath 6mm, making the Magic8 Mini one of the thinnest smartphones in its class.

Although a slight reduction from the initial battery rumor, the 5,500 mAh capacity still surpasses that of competitors like the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra by approximately 10%. Complementing its impressive battery, the Magic8 Mini is expected to feature a 6.31-inch LTPO flat OLED display with "1.5K" resolution, providing a sharp and vibrant viewing experience. The camera system promises high-end specifications with a 200MP main sensor and a 50MP telephoto lens equipped with a large 1/1.5" sensor size, ensuring outstanding photo quality in a compact body.
Under the hood, the device will run on the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, delivering strong performance and efficiency. While an official launch date remains unconfirmed, the Magic8 Mini’s unveiling is anticipated possibly in early next year.
