Spotify Introduces Built-In Playlist Transfer Feature from Other Streaming Services

Source: Date:

Spotify has officially unveiled a new feature that allows users to seamlessly transfer their playlists from other music streaming platforms directly into Spotify. This capability, which has long been available through third-party services, is now integrated within the Spotify app itself, simplifying the migration process for listeners who want to consolidate their music libraries.

The feature is made possible through a collaboration with TuneMyMusic, a popular external service that facilitates playlist transfers between different streaming platforms. While this integration currently only supports importing playlists into Spotify—not exporting them out—it streamlines the user experience by bringing this functionality inside the app.

To access the new playlist import feature, open the Spotify mobile app and navigate to Your Library. Scroll down to find the "Import your music" option, then follow the on-screen instructions to connect your account with TuneMyMusic. Afterward, select the source streaming service and choose the playlists you'd like to import. Spotify does not impose any limits on the number of playlists transferred or the number of songs contained within them.

This update is gradually rolling out worldwide over the next few days. If you don’t see the option immediately, it should become available soon as Spotify completes the global release.
