AT&T is dedicating significant efforts to enhance digital connectivity and technology access for residents across Indiana. The telecommunications giant is not only expanding its high-speed fiber network but also supporting the community through technology donations and digital literacy initiatives.
Supporting Digital Inclusion
In collaboration with the Learning Network of Clinton County and Human-I-T, AT&T has distributed 70 refurbished laptops to adult learners. Additionally, the company contributed $23,000 to strengthen the Technology Today program, which helps individuals acquire essential digital literacy skills.
James Taylor, CEO of John Boner Neighborhood Centers, emphasized the importance of these initiatives: "In today’s world, digital literacy is just as crucial as traditional reading and writing. Access to technology and training opens doors to employment, education, and meaningful participation in society. These laptops will truly transform the lives of many families."
Significant Fiber Expansion Milestones
AT&T Fiber has completed network upgrades providing high-speed internet access to approximately 3,600 homes, farms, and businesses throughout the state. The company has also launched fiber service in the City of Bedford, expanding connectivity to over 3,000 locations.
To celebrate these important milestones, AT&T contributed 100 refurbished laptops to the Lawrence County Economic Growth Council, enabling even more families to benefit from digital resources.
