Google continues to enhance its AI-powered Search capabilities with exciting new features designed to simplify travel and local bookings. From fully agentic restaurant reservations to global flight deal searches and personalized travel plan creation, Google's AI Mode is becoming a powerful assistant for users looking to save time and make smarter choices.

Initially launched as an opt-in feature via Labs, AI Mode's restaurant reservation capability is now widely available across the US. This enhancement enables users to effortlessly book tables through integrations with popular platforms like OpenTable, Resy, Tock, and more. Simply communicate your preferences, and AI Mode scans multiple providers in real-time to present curated options—and can even handle the booking on your behalf.

Beyond restaurants, AI Mode also supports event ticket and beauty or wellness appointment bookings through partners such as Ticketmaster, StubHub, SeatGeek, Vivid Seats, Booksy, Fresha, and Vagaro. While full agentic booking for these services remains in Labs for now, Google plans to extend booking capabilities further into hotels and flights in the near future.

On the flight front, Google Flights is rolling out its AI-driven Flight Deals feature globally to over 200 countries, expanding beyond its initial US, Canada, and India launch. With this tool, travelers can describe travel preferences freely, and AI dynamically identifies the best available deals, saving users from laborious manual searches across varying date combinations—a great solution for flexible travelers searching for savings.

Adding even more power to travel planning, the Canvas feature within AI Mode now helps users design personalized travel itineraries tailored to their specific trip types and interests. By selecting “Create Canvas,” users gain access to real-time pricing and availability for flights and hotels, as well as photos, reviews from Google Maps, and additional relevant web information.

Canvas curates recommendations for accommodations, restaurants, and activities optimized by travel time and user criteria, and also supports interactive Q&A for making informed choices involving tradeoffs. While this feature is currently available on desktop in the US via the AI Mode Labs experiment, it promises a highly customized and seamless planning experience.

With these ongoing advancements, Google’s AI Mode is transforming how users approach trip planning and local service bookings, making complex decisions faster and easier through intelligent assistance.
