Beginning with the 2026 season, all Major League Soccer (MLS) games will be accessible to stream on Apple TV without any additional charges. Currently, viewers are required to purchase an MLS Season Pass for $15 per month to watch the matches, even if they already subscribe to Apple TV+, which costs $13 per month.
Subscribers of Apple TV+ will gain free access to every regular-season MLS match, as well as the Leagues Cup tournament, the MLS All-Star Game, the Campeones Cup, the Audi MLS Cup Playoffs, and more. The existing MLS Season Pass offering will conclude at the end of the 2025 season.

Earlier, Apple provided free access to the 2025 MLS Cup Playoffs for all Apple TV subscribers, serving as a test run for this new strategy. Beyond live matches, Apple TV will also provide studio shows and on-demand content related to MLS.
In addition to soccer, Apple TV currently offers free streaming of Friday Night Baseball, and recently acquired exclusive US broadcast rights for Formula 1 races—all included within the standard Apple TV subscription. This expanded sports content likely influenced the decision to phase out the MLS Season Pass system.
However, with these sports offerings now bundled together, the current $13 monthly subscription fee for Apple TV+ may be subject to change in the future.
Notably, this announcement was first reported by ESPN, a Disney-owned network, which is currently engaged in distribution disputes with YouTube TV. These developments hint at significant shifts in the TV streaming industry on the horizon.
