The Indian tech scene is poised to welcome Philips-branded smartphones and tablets, marking the brand's fresh foray into the market through local company Zenotel, which secured rights to the Philips name. Following several weeks of teasers, detailed specifications for one of the inaugural devices have now surfaced.
Dubbed the Philips Pad Air, this upcoming tablet is powered by the Unisoc T606 chipset, accompanied by 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It boasts a sharp "2K" resolution display with a smooth 90Hz refresh rate, promising vibrant visuals and fluid user experience. The device is backed by a sizable 7,000 mAh battery supporting 18W wired charging to keep it running throughout the day.
The Philips Pad Air is expected to launch early next year, within the first quarter, potentially before March ends. Alongside tablets, Philips-branded smartwatches and laptops are also planned for release in 2026, signaling the brand's broad aspirations in the Indian consumer electronics segment.
