This change is not due to a camera sensor upgrade but rather to accommodate a wider field of view for the selfie camera. The wider angle, reportedly at 85 degrees, will allow users to capture more in their selfies, although the sensor and resolution remain the same.
In addition, the bezels on the S26 Ultra appear to be similar to its predecessor, or slightly larger, indicating that Samsung is not following the trend of reducing bezel sizes seen in other smartphone models from Chinese competitors like Oppo, OnePlus, and Xiaomi.
