The upcoming Motorola Edge 70 Ultra has been benchmarked on Geekbench, providing a sneak peek into the powerful performance of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. This new chip from Qualcomm boasts Oryon cores, promising enhanced capabilities compared to its predecessors.
The benchmark results for the Motorola XT2603-1, likely the Moto Edge 70 Ultra or Moto X70 Ultra for the Chinese market, showcase impressive performance figures. The device scored around 2,600 in single-core tests and 7,500 in multi-core tests, surpassing the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in both metrics.
Although the new chip falls behind the Snapdragon 8 Elite in terms of performance, its Adreno 829 GPU promises improved graphics capabilities. With 2x 3.65GHz prime cores and 6x 3.32GHz performance cores, paired with 16GB of RAM and Android 16, the Motorola Edge 70 Ultra/X70 Ultra is shaping up to be a powerhouse.
While there is no official release date for the flagship device, Motorola fans can look forward to an impressive performance upgrade with the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset.
