Exciting Update: Apple's Live Translation Coming to the EU for AirPods Users

Source: Date:

When Apple released the AirPods Pro 3 in September along with Live Translation features for AirPods 4 and AirPods Pro 2, it left EU users out. However, Apple has now announced that Live Translation will be available in the EU starting next month, in December.

The delay was due to the additional engineering work required to comply with the Digital Markets Act. With the update, Live Translation will support languages including English, French, German, Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional Mandarin), Japanese, and Korean.

This feature provides real-time translations with on-device processing to ensure privacy. It enhances conversations by integrating seamlessly with Messages, FaceTime, and the Phone app, offering live transcription and translation.

Users can now enjoy the benefits of Live Translation while communicating with people speaking different languages, making interactions more natural and convenient.
