Court orders Google to open up the Play Store in the United States
Google has been ordered by the court to make the Play Store more open for Android users in the U.S. This victory for Epic in the lawsuit also means that Google can no longer mandate the use of Google Play Billing and must allow alternative payment methods like PayPal and direct credit card payments.
