Samsung has unveiled some exciting upgrades for the highly anticipated Galaxy S26 series, promising faster performance, custom chips, and enhanced artificial intelligence capabilities. The company's Mobile Experience Division Vice President, Daniel Araujo, shared that the upcoming devices will revolutionize the user experience with next-gen AI, a second-generation custom Application Processor (AP), and improved performance, including new camera sensors.

One of the key highlights is the introduction of the Exynos 2600 chipset, which will be the first smartphone chipset manufactured on a 2nm node. Additionally, Qualcomm is expected to dual source some Snapdragon 8 chips for Galaxy variants, further enhancing the performance of the devices.

While the final decision on the chipset for the Galaxy S26 series is still pending, reports suggest that the Exynos 2600 will be used in most regions, with select regions receiving the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 version. Samsung is also rumored to incorporate a new Exynos connectivity chip for improved Wi-Fi and Bluetooth functionality, potentially setting a new standard in connectivity technology.

In addition to hardware upgrades, Samsung is focusing on AI features, health tracking capabilities for smartwatches, and new TWS earbuds for the upcoming year. The company is determined to strengthen its position in the foldables market, signaling an exciting roadmap for Samsung's flagship devices in 2026.
