Apple is gearing up to revolutionize its devices with OLED displays. According to a report by Bloomberg, the iPad mini, iPad Air, and MacBook Air are all set to receive major display upgrades in the coming years.
The report reveals that Apple is currently testing new models of the iPad Air, iPad mini, and MacBook Air with OLED displays. The iPad mini is expected to be the first to feature an OLED panel in 2026, providing users with a high-quality viewing experience.
Although the OLED display is a significant enhancement, it may come with a higher price tag. The report suggests that the OLED version of the iPad mini could cost up to $100 more than the current model, reflecting the premium display technology.
Apple is also working on a redesigned chassis for the iPad mini, offering water resistance and an improved speaker system to enhance the overall user experience.
While the iPad Air will continue to use an LCD panel in its next iteration, Apple plans to transition to OLED technology in the near future. The MacBook Air is also expected to receive an OLED display, with a potential launch timeline set for 2028.
