Google Introduces New Feature to Improve User Experience with Gemini Chatbot
Google has rolled out a new feature aimed at enhancing the user experience with Gemini, its virtual chatbot. Users have often complained about being cut off before they can finish asking a question, leading to frustration and incomplete interactions. The new feature allows users to maintain microphone control for longer periods, enabling them to take pauses without the system prematurely ending the conversation.
Android Authority discovered the feature in version 16.42.61 of the Google app, where users can now long-press the microphone icon to keep it active until manually unlocked. This innovation provides users with more flexibility and improves the overall usability of the Gemini chatbot.
Additionally, Google has made other changes to the Gemini app, including a new overlay input box and a floating button for Gemini Live. These updates are part of Google's ongoing efforts to optimize user interactions with its virtual assistant.
Gemini Can Now Assist with Setting Alarms and Timers on Android Devices
In addition to the new feature, Google has expanded Gemini's capabilities to include setting alarms and timers on all Android phones. By utilizing the Utilities extension within the Gemini app, users can now easily manage alarms, timers, and device settings such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, flashlight, and volume.
With these enhancements, Google aims to provide a seamless and efficient virtual assistant experience for Android users, further solidifying Gemini's position as a reliable digital assistant.
