T-Mobile and Verizon customers have experienced disruptions around the same time as the AWS outage, indicating a correlation. The complaints peaked during the height of the AWS incident.
AWS plays a crucial role in internet infrastructure, serving as a primary cloud services provider for many businesses. The outage began at 3 a.m. Eastern time, affecting numerous apps and websites. While most services were restored by 5:27 a.m., full resolution was pending verification.
Other notable services impacted include WhatsApp, Venmo, Coinbase, and the Wall Street Journal. Boost Mobile also recorded 3,230 complaints within the last few hours.
