Rumors Suggest Apple's iPhone Fold Release Could Be Pushed to 2027

Rumors circulating in Korea hint at a potential delay for Apple's highly anticipated iPhone Fold. Initially expected to launch in 2026, reports now indicate the foldable smartphone may not hit the market until 2027. Production setbacks due to finalizing specifications, particularly the hinge design, are cited as the primary reason for the possible delay. Estimates suggest only 5-7 million units may be produced in the first year if the device does launch in 2026.

Recent rumors suggest that the hinge for the iPhone Fold could be cheaper than initially expected. However, Apple's target of selling 10-15 million units in the first year may be challenging to achieve given the current pace of production preparations.

The iPhone Fold is rumored to feature a 7.58" folding screen and a 5.38" cover display, both utilizing LTPO technology and CoE for polarizer elimination.
