The release of the Samsung Galaxy S26 is just around the corner, and as rumors and leaks continue to surface, one topic has been garnering a lot of attention - the choice of processor. Recent speculations suggest that Samsung may be opting for a split-chip strategy for the upcoming Galaxy S26 series, with some models featuring the Exynos chip and others sporting the Snapdragon processor.
We conducted a poll to gauge consumer sentiment towards the Exynos chip, and the results revealed that only a mere 8.37% of respondents trust Samsung's Exynos 2600 chip for the Galaxy S26. The overwhelming majority, totaling 69.21%, expressed a preference for the Snapdragon processor, specifically the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.
While 17.49% of respondents are willing to wait for performance reviews before making a decision, it's evident that there is still a significant level of skepticism surrounding the Exynos chip. Historically, Exynos processors have fallen short compared to their Snapdragon counterparts, leaving many Samsung fans disappointed.
Despite the skepticism, there is a glimmer of hope that the Exynos 2600 chip could surprise consumers with its performance. Built on a 2nm process, the Exynos chip boasts improved power and efficiency, but whether it can rival the Snapdragon remains to be seen.
