Today, Oppo announced the highly-anticipated ColorOS 16, a major update that brings a fresh visual design, enhanced performance, and a host of new features. The unveiling also introduced the upcoming Oppo Find X9 series, which will be the first devices to showcase the new ColorOS 16. This update will soon be available on older Oppo devices as well, promising users an improved and more efficient user experience.
ColorOS 16 boasts seamless system animations that provide quicker app launches and smoother interactions across the UI. The Luminous Rendering Engine ensures consistent performance, even under heavy workloads, while the Trinity Engine optimizes resource allocation for improved speed and power efficiency.
With a design inspired by nature, ColorOS 16 features new customization options for the lockscreen, home screen, and Always On Display (AOD). Users can now enjoy a variety of fonts, motion wallpapers, and a Flux Home Screen option for organizing apps and folders in different shapes.
Additionally, Oppo's AI suite receives upgrades, including AI-powered photo editing tools and enhancements to the O+ Connect suite for seamless device management. The rollout of ColorOS 16 will begin in China and extend to various Oppo devices in the coming months, culminating with the Find X9 series launching with ColorOS 16 out of the box.
