Spotify Introduces Managed Accounts for Parents to Control Kids' Content

Source: Date:

Spotify has rolled out a new feature called Managed accounts, exclusively for Premium Family account holders, to help parents have more control over their children's Spotify usage. This feature allows parents to filter explicit content, block specific songs, albums, or artists, and hide short videos that play with certain tracks. It also eliminates the messaging feature for kids under 13 years of age.

Managed accounts are separate from the Spotify Kids app, enabling children to still create their own playlists and receive personalized suggestions based on their listening habits, while keeping them separate from the parents' suggestions.
