Samsung has taken the smartphone camera game to the next level with the introduction of the ISOCELL HP5, a revolutionary 200MP image sensor with 0.5µm-sized pixels.
Despite its compact pixel size, the HP5 is designed to excel in low-light situations and deliver superior image quality. Boasting a 1/1.56-inch size, this sensor incorporates innovative technologies like Front Deep Trench Isolation (FDTI) and Dual Vertical Transfer Gate (D-VTG) to enhance light and detail capture on a pixel level.
Samsung's latest sensor offers a 150% increase in conversion gain and improves random noise reduction by 3 to 40% under varying shooting conditions. It supports Smart ISO Pro, staggered HDR for enhanced dynamic range, and delivers impressive video capabilities, including 4K at 120 fps, 8K at 30 fps, and 1080p at 240 fps.
Already in mass production, the ISOCELL HP5 is set to power upcoming smartphones such as the vivo Y500 Pro, showcasing Samsung's commitment to pushing the boundaries of mobile photography.
