Rumors suggest that Samsung's upcoming release, One UI 8.5, will include a useful feature that has been available in other Android skins for some time. This feature allows users to double tap the back of their phone to perform various actions. While this functionality is currently accessible through the Good Lock app in One UI, it will reportedly be integrated directly into the skin with the release of One UI 8.5.
Users will have the option to select from seven different actions that the double tap gesture can trigger, including AI Select, Flashlight, Notifications, Open app, Privacy display, Quick settings, and Screenshot. It is possible that Samsung may add or remove items from this list before the official launch of One UI 8.5.
