UK Users Face Ad Choices on Instagram and Facebook
Meta is introducing a new ad-free subscription option for Instagram and Facebook users in the UK. Users will have to choose between personalized ads or paying a monthly fee for an ad-free experience.
This move, previously controversial in the EU, is now being offered at a better price in the UK, with additional discounts for Britons.
Subscription Prices in the UK
Users in the UK can choose to subscribe to the ad-free experience at a much lower price compared to the EU. The subscription prices start at £2/month on the web and £3/month on iOS and Android for each account added to their Meta Accounts Center.
Comparison with EU Prices
Even after reducing the prices in the EU, they still remain higher than in the UK, starting at €5.99 a month on the web and €7.99 a month on mobile.
