Ayaneo has recently unveiled the latest addition to its lineup of portable gaming devices, the Pocket Air Mini retro gaming handheld. Setting itself apart from other handhelds, this device boasts a 4:3 display, catering to fans of older emulated games.

The highlight of the Pocket Air Mini is its 4.2-inch display with a resolution of 1280x960. Featuring a 4:3 aspect ratio, this display ensures that classic retro games are displayed without any black bars, providing an immersive gaming experience. With 500 nits of peak brightness and 123% sRGB color coverage, the display is professionally calibrated for optimal performance.

Powered by the MediaTek Helio G90T chip and equipped with active cooling through a fan, the Pocket Air Mini is designed to handle retro game emulation effectively. The device's compact design, weighing 269g and measuring 6.5 inches, features RGB Hall effect joysticks, Hall triggers, ABXY buttons, and a classic D-pad for intuitive controls. It also includes USB-C connectivity, a headphone jack, microSD expansion, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5, and a 4500mAh battery for extended play sessions.

Running on Android 11 with Ayaneo's customized software optimized for retro gaming, the Pocket Air Mini offers quick access to game libraries and popular emulators. Available in two variants, with introductory prices starting at $70, and coming in Retro White, Aurora Black, and Retro Power color options, the Pocket Air Mini is set to release in October.
