A leaked One UI 8.5 firmware for the Galaxy S25 Ultra has surfaced, revealing code that confirms the upcoming release of One UI 9.0 as the next major version of Samsung's user interface.
The current versions, One UI 8 and the in-progress One UI 8.5, are built on Android 16. It is expected that One UI 9.0 will be based on Android 17. While details about the features and timeline of One UI 9.0 are still scarce, there are speculations that it could make its debut alongside next year's Galaxy Z Fold and Galaxy Z Flip folding smartphones.
