Honor enthusiasts have reason to celebrate as the launch date for the highly anticipated Honor X9d has been officially confirmed. Scheduled to be unveiled on Wednesday, September 24 in Malaysia at 3PM local time (7AM UTC), Honor has offered a sneak peek by sharing some images and key specifications of the upcoming device.
The Honor X9d bears a resemblance to the Honor X70 that made its debut in China in July. Like its predecessor, the X9d boasts an IP69K water and dust resistance rating, along with an impressive 8,300mAh Silicon-carbon (Si/C) battery. Honor is touting enhanced durability with a shock-absorbing frame similar to the one found on the X70.

The device will be available in the Reddish Brown colorway as well as a new Sunlight Gold version. The images released by Honor showcase a 108MP main camera with OIS, a notable upgrade from the 50MP main camera on the Honor X70.
