After several attempts, the Trump administration has finally succeeded in reaching a deal with China to sell TikTok to US investors. Recent reports indicate that China has agreed to a "basic framework consensus" which includes licensing the coveted algorithm and other intellectual property rights.

While details are still being worked out and the September 17 deadline may need to be extended, it seems that the deal is moving in the right direction. The creation of a US version of the TikTok app is also in progress to ensure seamless content sharing between American users and the global audience.

Speculation has been rife about potential investors or companies eyeing TikTok, with names like Amazon being thrown into the mix. As the deal progresses, all eyes will be on the final outcome and the approval of Congress.
