Galaxy S26 Pro and S26 Edge to Stick with 25W Charging, 3C Certifications Confirm

Recent 3C certifications have confirmed that the upcoming Galaxy S26 Pro and Galaxy S26 Edge will not see a speed upgrade in charging, as they will only support 25W wired charging. This aligns with earlier leaks from renowned tipster Ice Universe.

The certifications reveal that the Galaxy S26 Pro (SM-S9420) and Galaxy S26 Edge (SM-S9470) will cap out at 9V 2.77A, translating to 25W. On the other hand, the Galaxy S26 Ultra (SM-S9480) will offer faster charging speeds with support for 45W.

It seems that Samsung has chosen to stick with the same charging capabilities as the previous generation S25 and S25 Edge for the S26 Pro and S26 Edge models, despite the availability of faster charging options in some of their mid-range devices.

While it may be understandable for the thinner design of the S26 Edge to limit higher charging speeds, the decision for the S26 Pro with a larger 4,300mAh battery not to offer faster charging is raising some eyebrows among tech enthusiasts.

With the absence of a Plus model in the Galaxy S26 series, it will be interesting to see how consumers react to the charging capabilities of these upcoming flagship smartphones from Samsung.
