The upcoming Honor Magic8 series is set to introduce a groundbreaking imaging technology known as “NoxGod”, which has been trademarked by the company. This technology is expected to significantly improve the nighttime performance of the 200MP telephoto camera featured on the Magic8 models. The Product Manager for Flagship Phones at Honor, Li Kun, has teased the capabilities of this new technology on Weibo.
While details about which specific Magic8 models will include the 200MP telephoto module are still unclear, reports suggest that the Honor Magic8 Ultra will come equipped with a customized OmniVision sensor. Additionally, the Magic8 Pro is rumored to feature a 200MP periscope camera, along with a 50MP main and 50MP ultra-wide camera setup.
Aside from these flagship models, there are other variants expected to be released as well. The standard Magic8 will offer a smaller form factor with a 6.59” display, while a mini version with a 6.3” display is also reportedly in the lineup. Both the Magic8 series and the mini variant are said to incorporate a Direct Time-of-Flight sensor (dToF) for enhanced depth mapping capabilities.
Stay tuned for the official launch of the Honor Magic8 series, which is anticipated to take place in mid-October. With the introduction of the innovative “NoxGod” imaging technology, these smartphones are poised to deliver exceptional camera performance and imaging capabilities.
